About HashLume

HashLume is a hash and checksum verifier for macOS. It computes MD5, SHA-1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, SHA3-256 and CRC32 for files and whole folders in one pass, checks them against a digest or a checksum manifest, and says plainly what each match does and does not establish. A built-in User Guide, glossary and lab make it a teaching tool as well as a working one.

HashLume is built by ProfWorkBench, LLC and sold on the Mac App Store. Hashing, verifying and exporting are free. The Sealed Certificate, a signed PDF record anyone can check with openssl, is an optional purchase ($9.99 in the US, one payment). Files are hashed read-only on the user's Mac inside the macOS App Sandbox. The app has no accounts and no analytics, and its only connection is Apple's App Store.
